Honestly my favorite saying and I wish many people I worked with back then followed this but with with them it was always "Getting the job done quickly" no matter what. That's why I'm glad I switched over to another company that ACTUALLY follows safety procedures.

The STSC program has proven to be a valuable tool for our Local 24 (Denver) in many aspects. We have become more marketable to our contractors, and they have in turn improved their marketability in their bidding process. It is also an excellent way for us ironworkers who are closing in on retirement (and/or are just beat up!) to continue to serve in our trade later in our careers. I have personally found that our brothers and sisters are for more focused on being and working safe as the "way to do the job properly." We have also found more and more general contractors are aware of the STSC, and respect our efforts to change the face of ironwork in the 21st century. As an individual that has benefitted greatly from this training, I can vouch what I've said is accurate, as I have been working as a Safety Foreman for about 2 tears in the field. I highly recommend everyone able to take the training and get certified, whether you work as a safety professional or not, do so. If we as union workers can populate our Locals with STSC's, we can take back our work! Thank you, Local 24, for all you have done for me as well as all our STSC's, current and to come. I sincerly hope we double our market share in the next 9 years ,and I believe if we work togeather we can make that happen.Better foreman training is critical. We need to support and help the men running jobs in the field be better managers.Impact has done a great job in our jurisdiction and helps fund training and upgrades. lets keep progressing.
